Unemployment and salaries also rising in Mazowieckie
In June this year. average employment in the enterprise sector was at the level of 1.51 million people and was higher by 0.7 percent than a month before and lower by 1.0 percent than a year ago.
In the analyzed month, the average monthly gross salary in the enterprise sector amounted to PLN 6,235.99 and was by 2.5 percent higher than the one recorded a month earlier and by 2.3 percent than in the previous year.
At the end of June this year the number of unemployed people registered with labor offices amounted to 143,100 people and increased monthly by 3,500 (i.e. by 2.5 percent), and compared to June 2019 by 16,400 (i.e. by 12.9 percent). Women accounted for 50.8 percent of all registered unemployed (52.4 percent the year before).
Registered unemployment rate amounted to 5.1 percent and increased annually by 0.6 pp, and in monthly terms by 0.2 pp. Szydłowiecki still belonged to the counties with the highest unemployment rate (24.3 percent against 22.4 percent in June 2019), radomski (18.2 percent vs 16.4 percent), przysuski (17.5 percent compared to 17.7 percent), and with the lowest - the Capital City of Warsaw (1.7 percent vs 1.4 percent), Warsaw West (2.2 percent vs 1.7 percent) and grójecki (2.7 percent compared to 1.9 percent).
