US Ambassador: Israel Katz should apologize
US Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher, asked by journalists on Wednesday, said that Israel and Poland should not use this kind of rhetoric. She referred to the statement from Sunday when newly appointed Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Israel Katz recalled former PM Icchak Shamir’s words that Poles were “breastfed antisemitism.”
“Between close allies, such as Poland and Israel, there is no place for such offensive comments as the statement of Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz’s,” Mosbacher wrote on Tuesday on Twitter.
