Warsaw residents help during pandemic
Many people are involved in helping health care, including sewing face masks. In Warsaw, the campaign called “Stołeczna sews the masks” is carried out by the Warsaw ZHP Region of Polish Scouting and Guiding Association. Everyone can join the action, even if he is not a scout. To date approx. 50,000 masks were handed over to Warsaw and Mazovian hospitals
In addition, residents support themselves, among others, on the Facebook group Visible Hand. People post there, offering help in every area – from shopping and walking the dog to looking after children. There are also entries from those who need help because, for example, they are currently under quarantine at home.
In turn, the dog hostel Tosiakowa Chata conducts an extraordinary action for people who are quarantined. The pet owners can count on free help in taking care of their cats and dogs.
