Nearly every fifth Polish start-up operating in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) comes from Wrocław. The solutions they develop in this area are developing rapidly and are used both in innovative business, medicine, logistics, and industry, as well as in everyday life.
"Many of these solutions improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Wrocław, and it is crucial for us that the business from the artificial intelligence sector is useful to the local community," Ewa Sondej from the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency stressed.
According to the report of the Startup Poland Foundation ‘The Polish Tech Scene. 5 years’, Wrocław is distinguished by the highest concentration of technology entrepreneurs in Poland. One start-up is for every 4,500 Lower Silesia inhabitants, which proves the exceptional number of entrepreneurial talents from the technology sector in this region. Wrocław is the base for 17 percent of AI start-ups in Poland, coming second behind Warsaw (23 percent).
"We hope that Wrocław will become the Polish Silicon Valley. We all work hard for it, both the city and representatives of business and science. This is our goal and we are doing everything to make it happen," Ewa Sondej assured.
