The number of warehouses in Poland is growing, and so is the number of jobs. There is currently 2.5 million sq m of such space under construction. The demand for managers and employees in such facilities is still high. According to data from Grafton Recruitment and CBRE, earnings of the former range from 7.5 thousand to 11 thousand PLN gross in the Lublin province and from 9 thousand to 14 thousand PLN gross in the Łódź province. In all major warehouse regions in Poland, the salaries for managers fluctuate around PLN 10 thousand gross. However, other warehouse workers earn the most in the Mazowieckie Province, from PLN 3 thousand to PLN 4.2 thousand gross. In other regions, salaries start from PLN 2.8 thousand and reach PLN 4 thousand gross in Lower Silesia, Greater Poland, and Lesser Poland.

Of the key regions for the warehouse sector in Poland, the Wielkopolskie Voivodship is the one with the largest volume of construction - as much as 431 thousand sq.m. In second place is the Łódzkie Voivodship with 411,000 sq.m of new warehouse space under construction. In Mazowsze (including Warsaw) 371 thousand sq. m is under construction, in Silesia over 353 thousand sq. m, in Lubuskie Voivodeship 294 thousand sq. m, in Lower Silesia 212 thousand sq. m.

In 2021, the key importance in the warehouse space market will be its standard, ecological solutions, and the development of IT and automation. Our data show that 60 percent of logistics companies already want to improve supply chains in the coming months and allocate considerable financial outlays to this end. Localization will become even more important. Qualified employees with experience will still be worth their weight in gold, as this job market absorbs them very quickly - says Beata Hryniewska, CBRE.
