Zalando opens warehouse in Gołuchów

Zalando has officially opened its third logistics center in Poland. The investment is an important milestone in the development of the Zalando logistics network. A growing customer base will be served by two Polish logistics centers, in addition, the warehouse in Olsztynek deals with the implementation of Zalando Lounge orders.
Center in Głuchów with an area of 130,000 sqm is one of the largest logistics facilities in Poland. Like the second Polish Zalando warehouse in Szczecin, it has been equipped with the latest intralogistics solutions, including two five-level high storage towers that can contain up to several million items.
The center is managed by an external subcontractor - DHL Supply Chain - which currently employs approximately 1,200 employees to operate the facility. In the long run, DHL Supply Chain intends to create approximately 2,500 jobs. The facility will handle orders mainly from Poland, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
The factors that determined the choice of Głuchów as the location for the Zalando logistics center in Poland were primarily: high employment potential, good geographical location, and infrastructure with direct access to expressways 1 and 12. Very good cooperation with the local government also had a great impact on the decision Tuszyn commune, based on mutual trust and respect for the region.
