Zygmunt Solorz, one of the richest Poles, announced yesterday the start of the Clean Poland Program. In this way, he wants to promote environmental awareness. The organization itself is going to be a forum for debate on various pro-ecological activities. Its goal is also to support pro-ecological initiatives.
Solorz, whose assets are estimated to have reached PLN 9.1 billion, is the owner of the "Pątnów-Adamów-Konin" Power Plant Complex (ZE PAK), as well as numerous companies.
“ZE PAK has begun the process of reducing the share of coal in energy production and the development of projects related to renewable energy sources. (...) The transformation of ZE PAK aiming at withdrawing from coal-fired power generation and introducing green solutions will take some time. However, it will be an irreversible process,” the billionaire said.
