Jakon completed the facility for the company 2 Sisters Storteboom in Komorniki near Poznań. A building with an area of 7,400 sqm built in the BTS formula, consists of a production and warehouse part (6,850 sqm) and a two-storey office building (850 sqm).
The investment in Komorniki is the first project of the Jakon company for a member of the 2 Sisters Food Group, which is a leading group among British food industry companies.
In connection with the investor's profile of production and packaging of food, a number of solutions necessary to maintain appropriate norms and standards related to increased hygiene and sanitary requirements were used.
“Because the entire plant functions as a cold store, in which the temperature is kept constant 0-2 degrees Celsius, it was necessary to use an extensive refrigeration system. The investor decided on modern technology, which completely eliminated environmentally harmful freon factors, and in their place a factor whose impact on the natural environment is minimal,”  Maciej Tomkowiak, project coordinator at Jakon, said.
The facility also focuses on rational waste management. Thanks to a well-planned technology cycle, implementation of plant procedures and automation of production and transport processes, we have managed to reduce the amount of waste generated to 0.01 percent of all production.
