68% of Poles live in their own houses and flats – survey

A total of 43% of Poles live in houses and 25% in flats owned by themselves or their spouses, according to a Centre for Public Opinion Research (CBOS) survey on the housing situation in Poland. The percentage of people living in houses has increased by 10% in 15 years.
According to the survey, the average size of a flat or house occupied by a single household is just over 90 sqm. A total of 31% of respondents have 110 sqm or more at their disposal, 22% have between 50-70 sqm, 19% have between 30-50 sqm, and 2% have less than 30 sqm.
