Soccer is the most popular team game in the world. 3.5 billion people support footballers (according to FIFA data, 265 million play football). It is estimated that the European football market is worth around €29 billion. Large European clubs such as Manchester United and Juventus Turin are listed on the stock exchange.
The football leagues are the most commercialized and most profitable. The top five leagues that bring in the most money are Bundesliga (Germany), La Liga (Spain), Ligue 1 (France), Premier League (England), and Serie A (Italy).
