Company debt exposed by KSeF
Poland’s National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) is giving factoring companies much greater visibility into corporate transactions by registering B2B invoices almost in real time. The change could be particularly significant for SMEs. According to the National Debt Register (KRD), more than 9,000 companies owe factoring firms PLN 296.2 mln, with average debt of PLN 32,800. Meanwhile, Poland’s factoring market continues to expand rapidly. Factoring companies purchased invoices worth PLN 581.8 bln in 2025, up 11% y/y, while Polish Factors Association members financed PLN 275.3 bln in receivables in H1 2026, up 11.7% y/y.
KSeF improves invoice verification but does not show whether invoices have been paid or financed elsewhere, meaning risks such as double financing remain.
