DWF advises Sonoco Products on closing sale transaction
Sonoco Products, one of the world's most diversified packaging service providers, has finalized the sale of Sonoco Poland-Packaging Services to Prairie Industries Holdings, a Wisconsin-based packaging producer and packaging service provider owned by the Halifax Group, an American investment fund based in Washington, DC. The contract value is approximately $120 million. Sonoco Poland-Packaging Services provides manufacturers of consumer goods all over the world with comprehensive solutions in the field of personalized packaging services and supply chain management, using six plants in three locations and a warehouse located in Poland.
DWF Poland's lawyers provided legal services to Sonoco Poland-Packaging Services for over sixteen years, since the company's inception in 2004, mainly in corporate matters. They were also involved in the process of selling shares in the company and in finalizing the transaction. DWF advisory in the closing phase included legal services related to the implementation of conditions precedent (including employee and corporate matters), completing the documentation required to finalize the transaction and participation in the closing activities that took place in Warsaw.
