Echo Investment has applied to demolish the Pekao Tower at 53/57 Grzybowska Street in Warsaw, paving the way for a new office project on a site it owns.

The demolition request was filed on January 30, 2026. The existing building — also known as the Marian Kantor Building — was completed in 1991 as the headquarters of Bank Pekao and designed by Croatian architect Miljenko Dumenčić. The 85-meter tower offers around 20,000 sq m of space on a 2,488 sq m plot held in perpetual usufruct.

The 20-storey structure includes two underground levels with technical facilities, archives and 42 parking spaces. The bank relocated its headquarters to the Forest complex on Burakowska Street.

Under the local zoning plan, a new building could reach a dominant height of 90 meters. The site sits close to Browary Warszawskie and the Towarowa 22 scheme.
