Every 10th property owned by Poczta Polska has legal issues
Poczta Polska is trying to commercialize one of Poland’s largest real estate portfolios, covering more than 6,000 properties and about 2 mln sqm of space. The process is complicated by legal and financial constraints: nearly 10% of properties have unresolved legal status, some are shared with Orange Polska, and some are encumbered by bank mortgages. Since June 16, real estate assets have been overseen by new vice president Maciej Klukowski, formerly of Polski Holding Nieruchomości.
Poczta Polska is also expanding its business activities to include residential construction, land preparation and development projects. The company says selected assets will be leased, rented, sold or converted for investment purposes, but detailed results remain partly confidential.
