Filing taxes through automation not easing stress on taxpayers
From February 15, over 20 million Poles can file their annual tax returns, but stress levels remain high despite increasing automation. A survey commissioned by PITax shows that 56% fear making mistakes in their annual PIT return, while one in three admits not knowing which tax reliefs could reduce their tax. Although nearly half plan to file by the end of February, uncertainty persists, mainly due to complex and frequently changing regulations.
Many taxpayers distrust automatic government systems: 51% prefer to verify reliefs themselves, and 41% seek help from independent advisors or commercial tools. While 25% use AI for tax information, 67% would not trust it to complete their return, preferring to retain control over the process.
