International asset management organization based in the USA, Point72, opened its office in Warsaw. In 2021, the company plans to hire 150 specialists with expertise in technology, finance, data management, and operations. Over the next two years, Point72 expects its Warsaw office to become the company's largest branch outside the US and support its key processes.

Point72 is an international asset management organization with over 25 years of investing experience. The company manages assets with a total value of over $20.2 billion (as of 01/01/2021) and employs more than 1,650 employees in 12 offices around the world.

“There are several factors behind the decision to locate our next foreign office in Warsaw. In recent years, Warsaw's importance in Europe has definitely increased and the city has started to attract some of the best talents in the region, becoming a financial services center,” Gavin O'Connor, Chief Operating Officer at Point72, said. 

"The opening of the Warsaw branch is a milestone in the development of Point72 and our teams in Poland will play a key role in supporting the further strategic development of the company," he added.

Responsibility for the development of the Warsaw office has been taken over by Rafael Lopez Espinosa, Managing Director of Point72 in Poland.

“We have already welcomed many specialists in technology, finance, operations, and data management, and we plan to continue recruiting throughout the year. We want to create world-class teams of experts that work seamlessly together to help you innovate and build the opportunities your business needs to grow. And my job is to make it happen,” Rafael Lopez Espinosa said.
