Kraków-based Imperial Capital has grown from a 55-unit project a decade ago to more than 1,000 apartments under construction and a land portfolio for about 3,000 units. The company, which has about PLN 1 bln in assets, focuses on buying undervalued land and increasing its development potential. It plans to double its business and expand into Warsaw, Wrocław and the Tri-City, with PLN 250 mln in land purchases targeted for next year.

Owner and CEO Maciej Trzmielewski wants to retain full ownership and says the company has no plans to go public. It funds growth through equity, development loans and bonds, and plans to expand its presence on Poland’s Catalyst bond market.
