Loan companies grants 10.6% less loans y/y in VIII

In August, loan companies granted loans worth PLN 576 million, that means by 10.6 percent less y/y, the Credit Information Bureau (BIK)
said. In numerical terms, the decline was 1.9 percent up to 231,500.


The average value of the loan granted in July amounted to PLN 2,489 and was lower than the average value of the loan granted in August 2018 by
8.9 percent. In total, in the period January-August 2019, loan companies granted loans totaling PLN 4.685 billion, by 1.7 percent less y/y.
