Lodz University of Technology will invest PLN 21 million in the thermomodernization and revitalization of two historic buildings: the Scheibler family palace complex and the Reinhold Richter villa. A significant portion of the funding comes from the EU via the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW).

The Scheibler palace complex will receive PLN 15 million, including PLN 12.8 million in funding. Plans include insulation, window and door replacement, and the creation of green roofs and walls. The site will house a Cultural and Educational Center for students and senior citizens.

The Richter villa, damaged by fire, will undergo a PLN 6.7 million renovation, with PLN 4.6 million from EU funds. Improvements include insulation, a new heating system, and accessibility enhancements. Further EU funding applications have been submitted for additional restoration projects.
