ROBYG: 25 years of growth

ROBYG Chairman Oscar Kazanelson discusses the developer’s 25-year growth, its return to the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the “city within a city” concept and plans for further expansion

ROBYG: 25 years of growth

WBJ: ROBYG has been operating in Poland for over a quarter of a century. How do you assess this path in retrospect?

Oscar Kazanelson: It was an extremely intense and demanding journey. Poland has been changing over the last 25 years, and ROBYG has developed with it. Today, we can talk about a scale that is the result of consistency and long-term thinking. We have completed over 38,000 apartments, and our housing estates have become home to over 100,000 residents.

But for me, trust is just as important as numbers. We have been building it for years through the quality of our developments, our responsibility to customers and the stability of the company. That trust is one of ROBYG's greatest assets today.

What do you consider to be the greatest successes of ROBYG?

The biggest success is that we don't just build apartments; we build "cities within a city." Our developments are complete, functional residential estates with full infrastructure: roads, pavements, green areas, playgrounds, commercial spaces, recreation zones and smart solutions. We want residents to have everything they need for everyday life.

We have a strong position in Warsaw, the Tricity, Wrocław, Poznań and Łódź, and we are also developing our operations in Krakow. We have one of the largest land banks on the market, which gives us opportunities to grow for many years to come.

What is the current pace of ROBYG's development?

The first half of 2026 confirmed that we are on a path of strong growth. We signed contracts for 1,280 apartments, which is 25% more than a year earlier, and the number of units handed over increased by 33%.

At the same time, we are launching the next stages of our flagship investments. In Warsaw, we are developing the next stages of Osiedle Kameralny and Rytm Mokotowa, as well as additional projects in Modern City and Metro Life Apartments. In the Tricity, we continue to develop projects such as Nadmotławie, Szumilas and Foresteria. We are also expanding in Poznań, Wrocław and Łódź. This shows that we are not slowing down, but are consistently increasing the scale of our operations.

ROBYG's return to the WSE was one of the most important events of this year. Why was it so important?

Returning to the stock exchange is the beginning of a new stage for us. This is not only a financial success, but above all a signal to the market that ROBYG is a stable, transparent company that is ready for further development.

The capital raised allows us to invest faster in new projects, develop the land bank and increase sales. The larger the scale of operations, the greater the stability of the company and the greater the confidence of customers and the capital market.

It is also very important that ROBYG today has equity exceeding PLN 2.5 billion, which confirms its very strong financial position and provides solid foundations for further growth.

What gives ROBYG a competitive advantage?

First of all, people. We have an extremely experienced team. Many people have been working with us for over a dozen years, and some for more than 20 years. This experience translates into the quality of projects, speed of execution and responsibility for each development.

The quality of the complex is as important as the quality of the apartments. Customers buy not only a place to live, but also the experience and reliability of a company that can keep its promises.

In which directions will the Group develop?

We focus on the largest and most promising residential markets in Poland. We want to strengthen our position where we are already present and develop our business in new locations, including Krakow.

At the same time, we will implement the next stages of the largest housing estates, expand our range of apartments and create new spaces in accordance with the philosophy of "a city within a city," with full infrastructure and a high standard of living.

What does your vision of ROBYG look like in a few years?

I would like ROBYG to continue to be one of the most important residential companies in Poland, but at the same time remain a responsible, predictable and customer-focused company.

Our goal is to further increase the scale, sensibly expand the land bank and develop in the largest metropolitan areas. Returning to the WSE gives us the tools to grow even faster, while maintaining financial discipline and the highest quality standards.

So the coming years will be a period of further expansion?

Yes, but it will be a responsible expansion. The housing market requires long-term thinking, which is why we are developing in a sustainable way, financially, organizationally and in terms of our investments.

For years, we have been guided by the slogan "We give more." Today, it is even more important. We provide higher quality, more infrastructure, more modern solutions and more value for residents.

If you were to sum up the next stage of ROBYG's history in one sentence?

I would say: we are accelerating and we want to give even more. We have 25 years of experience, strong financial foundations, a great team and ambitious plans. We want to continue to build places where life is good – not only apartments, but entire modern "cities within a city."
