Entrepreneurs are interested in the possibility of establishing family foundations in Poland concluded the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology on Tuesday. Consultations were conducted from mid-September until mid-October this year.
“The consultations that we have just finished are for us an introduction to the discussion on future Polish regulations in this matter. Including their attractiveness in comparison with the regulations that are in force abroad,” Jadwiga Emilewicz, MPiT head said.
A family foundation is a special idea for succession. It consists of establishing a special entity to which the company or other assets are transferred. Such foundations are usually managed jointly by the descendants of the founder, family members, sometimes professional managers. They include encouraging successors to engage in the family business. Today in Poland, the vast majority of heirs sell their family property.
