New rules of Clean Air program already in force
Changes to Poland’s Clean Air program took effect on July 20, raising grant limits for selected energy-efficiency upgrades, simplifying settlement procedures, and extending deadlines for projects with prefinancing. In certain cases, the required property ownership period has been reduced from three years to one. Unit subsidies for insulation, windows, exterior doors, and garage doors increased by 10%, although total support remains capped at PLN 83,000. Beneficiaries now have 180 days, rather than 120, to complete prefinanced projects.
Core requirements, including energy audits and income criteria, remain unchanged. To date, 971,000 funding agreements have been signed, 645,000 projects completed, and nearly PLN 22 bn paid to beneficiaries.
