Number of bankruptcies declined in May y/y

In May, 44 companies went bankrupt in Poland, 4.5 percent less y/y, Export Credit Insurance Corporation (KUKE) reported. On a monthly basis, number of bankruptcies grew by 16.7 percent.

KUKE analysts note  upward trend in the bankruptcies of construction companies. "This phenomenon is related to strong competition between companies, the number of which is relatively high, all facing wage growth and limited supply of professional workforce," KUKE said.
