Panattoni launches megainvestment in Sileia with airport complex
Panattoni, led by Robert Dobrzycki in Poland, has launched construction of Panattoni Park Katowice Airport, one of the largest logistics projects in Silesia. The 240,000 sqm complex, located 3 km from Katowice International Airport at the junction of the A1 motorway and S1 expressway, has already secured its first tenant. Logistics operator Fiege has leased over 42,000 sqm, including warehouse and office space, and will begin operations in 2028, creating around 120 jobs.
The facility will feature a 13.8-meter clear height and advanced automation systems, including AutoStore, VNA aisles and vertical storage solutions, maximizing efficiency. Silesia is Poland’s second-largest warehouse market after Warsaw, with strong demand, low vacancy of just over 8%, and more than 6.2 million sqm of modern space.
