Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway South may increase accessibility of southern districts of Gdansk
Pomorska Kolej Metropolitalna Południe could become a major driver of growth for southern Gdańsk, improving the area’s appeal and increasing real estate values. According to Damian Tomasik, CEO of Alter Investment, the market is already starting to recognize the potential impact of this transformation. The planned line will connect southern districts with central Gdańsk and the wider metropolitan rail network, significantly improving transport access.
Tomasik compares the process to Morena, where better public transport, including tram and rail links, boosted housing demand, property prices and developer interest. He argues that the biggest gains will go to investors who identify promising locations before the market fully prices in the effects of new infrastructure.
