PZU recognized as most valuable Polish financial brand

PZU took first place among financial institutions in the 15th edition of Rzeczpospolita's Most Valuable Polish Brands Ranking. The value of the insurer's brand was estimated at over PLN 3.3 billion, PZU announced on Friday.
The Ranking of the Most Valuable Polish Brands 2021 was based on research conducted jointly by the editors of the Rzeczpospolita daily and experts from the Vistula Academy of Finance and Business. In the 15th edition, 220 Polish brands were assessed, each of which had to be worth at least PLN 10 million. The PZU brand was valued at over PLN 3.3 billion, which gives it sixth place in the ranking, but the first among banks, insurers, and all other financial institutions.
As assessed by the president of PZU, Beata Kozłowska-Chyła, PZU in the face of the great crisis, has successfully passed the market and social responsibility test".
"We have set new standards and we intend to continue to set the tone in the post-pandemic world as well," she noted.
The PZU Group has approx. 22 million customers, including 16 million insurance customers. The insurer operates in five countries: Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Ukraine, and its consolidated assets reach PLN 400 billion. As reported, after Q1 this year PZU achieved the highest profit for the first quarter in three years, i.e. PLN 897 million, which is almost 700 percent more y/y.
