ROBYG will build and make available to the residents of Poznań significant public infrastructure facilities worth over PLN 20 million. These are large and important projects in Ostrów Tumski and in the immediate vicinity of the island. It will be the largest historical infrastructure investment in Poznań made by a private investor.

Investments will include the construction of full road infrastructure within ul. St. Wincentego, a footbridge and a bicycle path, which will restore the residents of the possibility of recreational use of the area of Ostrów Tumski and the connection with the Citadel and the construction of two bridges with footbridges for pedestrians and cyclists over Cybina and the Ulga Channel.

“The most important thing for us is to restore this area to public use while maintaining the historical character of the place and providing numerous green areas. We want this place to become an important recreational center for residents, and also to attract tourists – it must therefore take into account a full service, entertainment, recreation, gastronomic, hotel, and residential offer. The footbridge over the Warta built by ROBYG will connect two parts of the Wartostrada – from ul. St. Wincentego from ul. Szelągowska in the vicinity of the Citadel. In our company, we attach great importance to the protection of natural resources, which is very important to us, which is expressed, among others, by ecological solutions used in our housing estates. Thanks to this, we protect the natural environment – and at the same time, we restore to the city and residents areas that were previously forgotten. We do not act in isolation from the environment and without influencing it. We are aware that Ostrów Tumski is an important space for Poznań residents and therefore when designing this area, we would like to keep as much of the existing green as possible and plant a new one – which will emphasize the unique nature of this place,” Artur Ceglarz, Vice President of the Management Board of ROBYG SA, said.
