Sisters from Łódź region find niche in real estate market
Sisters Karina and Marika Drobnik created Patyki — Las Możliwości near Łódź as an alternative to hotels, traditional agritourism, and standard vacation cabins. Opened in 2024, the resort has 10 year-round cottages but focuses primarily on groups of 40–50 people, including companies, workshop organizers, sports camps, and conference participants. The project was financed with PLN 3.3 mln in EU funds and about PLN 4 mln in loans. Rather than expanding accommodation, the owners invested in activity rooms, shared spaces, yoga, aerial arts, a sauna, and other recreational facilities. Weak mobile coverage encourages guests to disconnect, while fast Wi-Fi supports remote work.
The resort also uses a trust-based self-service system for recreational areas, drinks, and snacks.
