Warsaw gives green light to new developments in Port Praski, Służewiec and Ursus
Warsaw councilors approved three major housing projects under the “lex developer” procedure on June 11, allowing about 2,770 new apartments to move forward. The approvals cover 1,270 homes in Port Praski, about 500 apartments in Służewiec, and up to 1,200 homes in Ursus. Lex developer rules allow housing construction even where local plans do not permit it, but require city council approval. The rules expire at the end of June, making the timing important for developers.
In exchange, investors will carry out related public investments, including school renovations, new sports facilities, kindergartens and educational space. The projects include Port Praski, Marynarska Living Project in Mokotów, and Robyg’s redevelopment of former industrial halls in Ursus.
