Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa, has announced an increase of PLN 450 million in the budget of the "Mój Prąd" (My Electricity) program. The program supports the development of prosumer energy generation, where individuals produce their own energy and feed excess into the grid. Funding can be obtained for photovoltaic installations, energy storage systems, and home energy management systems, with up to 50% of qualified costs covered.
The program aims to boost electricity production from micro photovoltaic installations, increase self-consumption of generated energy through storage, and enhance electricity management efficiency. Over PLN 2 billion has been allocated to over 470,000 applications. The total installed photovoltaic capacity in Poland has grown significantly, from 0.1 GW in 2015 to over 14.2 GW today, benefitting nearly 1.3 million prosumers.
