TV series actress Monika Mrozowska recently published an e-book titled "How to cook so as not to waste" on the How2 platform. It includes meat-free recipes that help minimize the generation of food waste. In the e-book, the actress has included tips and tricks on how to throw away less and simple vegetarian recipes. She also posted short videos in which she shows how to properly perform certain kitchen activities.
“We tend to be highly consumerist and buy whatever we can get our hands on. We think we need everything and we must have everything. We make large purchases in advance, while we have access to all food ingredients at our fingertips.” Monika Mrozowska said.
The actress pointed out that we should learn some habits from the family home. According to her, the basis of sensible shopping is making a list and checking the contents of the cabinets before leaving. It's also good to think about your meals in advance. Compulsive buying, which most often happens when we're hungry, is one of the most common mistakes.
“Usually, in the depths of the refrigerator, there are some cucumbers or cheese, from which another life form has already been created. The easiest way to throw away less food is to install a small refrigerator. Thanks to this, we will not make stocks, we will only buy products that we will be able to eat within the next two or three days. This requires planning from us, because we have to think about the menu and choose more dry ingredients that we can keep in the cupboards. However, we will quickly minimize throwing away food,” she explained.
