The institutional rental market in Poland is still in its infancy, but its growth may be dynamic. According to CBRE's "European Investors Intentions Survey 2024", 24 percent of Central and Eastern European investors are considering investing in the residential sector.
Currently, premises for institutional rental constitute 1 percent of the housing stock in the six largest cities in the country. The growing housing needs of Poles favor the development of the market. As CBRE experts point out, the number of households in the largest cities in the country will increase by an average of 1.7 percent in the next five years, and even by 3.2 percent in Warsaw. The student housing and senior housing sectors also have strong growth fundamentals.
