In 15 years of EU membership, exports from Poland increased fivefold. This is much more than in the case of the Czech Republic and Hungary, as results from the analysis of Akcenta, a payment institution.
In 2003, before joining the EU, the total foreign trade in these countries amounted to $43 billion, $49 billion and $54 billion respectively. After 15 years, according to the data of the Hungarian statistical office, exports reached almost $126 billion in 2018. On the other hand, the value of goods exported from the Czech Republic last year amounted to $203 billion. Meanwhile, Poland's foreign sales in 2018 reached $262 billion.
