Courier company GLS started cooperation with ASAPON, an operator of mail machines. One reason is the boom in smaller e-commerce stores. The new service is convenient especially for senders of international shipments.
The dispatch kiosk allows senders to send parcels on their own, and the entire process is automated: the device weighs and measures parcels unattended and prints labels. The postage can be paid directly using contactless payments or the BLIK code. You can also prepare the shipment online and then finalize the process in the machine using the QR code or Beacon technology.
One of the most important reasons why GLS started working with ASAPON is the rapid development of the e-commerce industry, including stores operating on a smaller scale.
”Using our services through mailing machines is a good solution for those senders who send smaller volumes of parcels, especially foreign ones, and at the same time care about flexibility and reliability. The device allows you to send parcels quickly and at any time, and our international network covers 40 countries in Europe as well as the USA and Canada,” Małgorzata Markowska, marketing manager of GLS Poland, said.
The recipients will receive the parcels on the same date as if they had been shipped directly by courier.
