Warsaw City Hall has granted a building permit for the planned Sinfonia Varsovia Centrum cultural project in the Praga Południe district of the Polish capital, which will house the city’s Orkiestra Sinfonia Varsovia symphony orchestra. The scheme will accommodate, among other things, several concert halls (including the biggest concert hall in Poland) and a recording studio. The development has been designed by Atelier Thomas Pucher and is expected to contribute to the further revitalization of Warsaw’s Praga area. Construction work on the first phase of the investment, which will involve the modernization of three historic buildings, is scheduled to launch in October 2020 and finish two years later. The main concert hall is to be ready in February 2025. Approximately PLN 632 million has so far been allocated for the project, which is being financed by the municipal authorities.
