Deputy Minister Jan Szyszko announced that Poland will receive PLN 27 billion from the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO) by mid-April, following a positive opinion from the EU Council. The approval marks a significant step toward unlocking funds for investments in Poland, addressing delays spanning over two years. The submission of the first payment application in January, totaling EUR 6.9 billion, preceded the recent developments. Delays prompted revisions to the KPO, focusing on judiciary-related milestones. Minister Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz highlighted plans for further revisions and additional payment applications this year. Under the KPO, Poland aims to utilize EUR 59.8 billion, prioritizing climate, digital transformation, and social reforms in alignment with EU objectives.
