Despite high prices, demand for vacation homes in Poland remains strong, driving a boom in development across tourist regions. In Q1 2024, nearly half of all mountain-area housing starts occurred in Nowy Targ County. Coastal areas like Świnoujście and Kołobrzeg saw a threefold increase in new developments compared to 2023, while Mrągowo County in Masuria reported six times more starts than a year prior.

Developers are building not only apartments but also aparthotels and condohotels, often purchased as second homes. Key factors are location—ideally lakeside or beachfront—and year-round tourist appeal. Authorities are investing in infrastructure to support off-season tourism, such as waterparks and ski or bike trails, further boosting property value and rental potential.
