The Lewiatan Confederation predicts fewer tax law changes in 2025, offering an opportunity for reflection on simplifying Poland's complex tax system. “This year should allow discussions on deregulation and identifying regulations that require repeal or simplification,” said Przemysław Pruszyński, Lewiatan’s tax department director.
A key focus will remain on the health insurance premium for entrepreneurs, as revisions are planned for 2026. However, reaching consensus on changes may prove challenging given tensions between the government, entrepreneurs, and coalition parties.
The Ministry of Finance is expected to propose amendments to PIT and CIT laws, including stricter rules for family foundations, IP BOX relief, and foreign-controlled companies. Work will also continue on the National E-invoice System, set to launch in February 2026. Additionally, further adjustments to real estate and global minimum tax regulations, which remain contentious, are anticipated.
