Poland’s top female drifter, Karolina Pilarczyk, highlights the lack of financial and media support for athletes outside mainstream sports like football, volleyball, and ski jumping. She emphasizes that many talented drivers abandon their careers due to funding shortages and limited media exposure.
“We have many outstanding drifters in Poland, but without proper support, they struggle to compete internationally. Motorsport is an expensive discipline, and securing sponsors is a constant challenge,” Pilarczyk said.
Despite increasing costs in motorsports, she remains determined and plans intensive preparations for the upcoming season, hoping to turn the tide in her favor. Pilarczyk urges greater recognition and financial backing for athletes in less popular disciplines, enabling them to develop their skills and represent Poland on the global stage.
