Almost €1.4 mln spent on horses at the Pride of Poland auction

14 horses were auctioned at the 50th Arabian horse auction Pride of Poland in Janów Podlaski for a total of €1.396. The highest price, €400,000, was paid for the mare Galerida, which had been bred at the stud in Michałów.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, who watched the auction, said that it was very well conducted and the results of the auction show how important the breeding of Polish Arabian horses is. “Several horses were not sold because the offered prices did not match their value,” the minister said.
However, it is worth recalling that in 2015 an almost identical amount (€1.4 million) was paid for just one mare from the stud in Janów.
