Poland has been the greatest beneficiary of EU membership among all the countries that joined in 2004 and later, as highlighted in a report by Bank Pekao. Between 2004 and 2022, Poland's GDP doubled. Only Malta and Ireland, with preferential tax policies for global corporations, experienced faster growth. Poland excelled in various economic sectors, particularly in service industries like information, communication, and business services, where value-added growth was substantial. The manufacturing sector also saw significant expansion, nearly tripling in size. Poland ranked in the top three in eight major economic sectors in the EU since 2004, particularly in manufacturing.
