As many as 58.2 percent of Britons would vote for the United Kingdom to return to the European Union, according to a survey conducted by YouGov. This result does not include people who said they would not participate in the vote or do not have an opinion. This is the highest result since the referendum on this matter in 2016.

Furthermore, more Britons claim to trust the European Commission (25 percent) than the British government (24 percent). At the same time, 41 percent of people stated that they are optimistic about the future of the European Union, while 36 percent are pessimistic.

However, a majority of UK citizens (51 percent) still consider the return to the EU soon to be unlikely.
