CBRE: in Q2, apartment sales in Warsaw dropped by over 40% in Q2 vs Q1

In the second quarter of 2024, new apartment sales in Warsaw fell by over 40% compared to the first quarter, according to a report by CBRE and Rednet Property Group. This decline is attributed to the end of the government "Safe Credit 2%" program and the delay in new support measures for home buyers. Despite the lower sales, the average price per square meter increased by 16.4% to PLN 17,806, with new listings reaching a record high of PLN 17,971 per square meter. There are currently about 13,000 apartments available for sale, a 15% increase from March.
The market also saw a rise in rental properties, with around 8,400 units rented out and plans for an additional 5,800 units. Future price increases are expected, influenced by legislative changes and a reduction in cheaper housing options.
