Congress of Women disusses equality, ecology and democracy
The eleventh edition of two-day Congress of Women started on Friday in Warsaw under the slogan "Equality, ecology, and democracy". Women show real concern for the future, climate change, issues related to economic stability, and human rights, Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski said at the inauguration. During the Congress 14 thematic centers, including economic, self-government, educational, spiritual or even a center of equal orientation, were created.
Professor of ethics at the University of Warsaw Magdalena Środa during the congress said that the most important thing is to build solidarity and women's bonds. She also expressed support for the youth climate strike on Friday.
