Entrepreneurs in Poland spend 334 hours yearly on tax compliance, ranking second in Europe after Bulgaria. PwC's report highlights Poland's corporate income tax (CIT) obligations cost, 2.4% of turnover, among the EU's highest.

The tax system's complexity leads to compliance challenges and interpretation uncertainties. PwC suggests emulating Estonia's simplified tax approach and integrating new technologies like AI to streamline processes. Recommendations include regular tax regulation reviews, consultations, and clearguideline publications to simplify the system. Estonia's model, where tax compliance averages 50 hours yearly, serves as a benchmark for simplification efforts.
