At the end of the first half of this year, the number of people who, in their pension and disability insurance application, declared a nationality other than Polish approached 1.2 million. This is 6 percent more than a year earlier when there were nearly 1.1 million. Men comprised 59.8 percent of this group, while women accounted for 40.2 percent. In terms of nationality, Ukrainians dominated. The number of applications from people with this citizenship amounted to 771,200, with an increase of 3 percent y/y. These figures come from the latest Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) data.
