Baltic Industrial Group has completed the construction of two offshore power substations for the Baltic Power wind farm, a joint project by Orlen and Northland Power. The steel structures, weighing 1,300 tons each and measuring 20x40x40 meters, were built in Gdynia and Gdańsk over two years, with over 400 workers involved. These substations will be shipped to Denmark for electrical equipment installation.

The substations, essential for gathering and converting energy from wind turbines to be transmitted to onshore stations, are key components enabling the wind farm’s energy production by 2025. This marks a significant milestone, as the substations were produced by a Polish company for a domestic offshore wind project.
