The Polish government plans to adopt a regulation in September amending the detailed scope and methods of tasks for the Agricultural Restructuring and Modernization Agency (ARiMR). This change will address compensation for farmers affected by adverse weather conditions in 2024, including hail, torrential rain, spring frosts, and hurricanes.
The proposed regulation will establish guidelines for providing aid to farmers with damaged crops, calculating support based on the affected area and damage severity, with aid ranging from PLN 1,000 to PLN 3,000 per hectare. Additionally, affected farmers may receive assistance with paying agricultural taxes for 2024, equivalent to the third and fourth installments. The deadline for applications for aid for rural women's associations will be extended until November 29, 2024.
