Poland’s tenement house market, though niche, is experiencing dynamic growth, with over 70 percent of these buildings still in need of revitalization. While the process is often complex due to technical challenges and lengthy negotiations with heritage conservators, tenement houses are becoming increasingly attractive for investors. Their historic charm, central locations, and rising property values make them a compelling asset.
"The tenement house market in Poland is an absolute niche. Our data shows that over 70 percent of existing tenements still require revitalization, and only 3.5 percent of secondary market listings are apartments in such buildings. It’s a challenging yet highly attractive business for investors who recognize the potential for property value growth in prime locations," Tomasz Laskowski, CEO of Inside Park, said.
Once associated with dilapidation and outdated heating systems, many pre-war tenements are now undergoing renovations, breathing new life into historic urban spaces.
