In Warsaw, Microsoft Vice President Brad Smith and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced a PLN 700 million investment (approx. $700 million) in Poland. This initiative, focused on cloud computing, AI, and cybersecurity, strengthens Microsoft's strategic partnership with Poland.

Tusk emphasized that while the investment amount is significant, its impact will be even greater, benefiting scientists, startups, and businesses with advanced technological infrastructure. Microsoft aims to enhance Poland’s role as a tech hub, improving computing power and digital infrastructure.

A key discussion point was cybersecurity, with Microsoft reaffirming its commitment to protecting Poland and Eastern Europe from cyber threats, especially amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Microsoft has been operating in Poland since 1992, previously investing PLN 1 billion in Polska Dolina Cyfrowa (Polish Digital Valley) and launching Azure Poland Central, the first cloud data center in Central and Eastern Europe.

Smith emphasized Microsoft’s long-term trust in Poland, highlighting its stability and potential as a strategic business partner.
